American defender Amber Brooks has re-signed with Adelaide United for the Westfield W-League 2019/20 Season, the club confirmed on Monday.
Brooks played her first season in the Westfield W-League in 2018/19, with her outstanding performances culminating in the 28-year-old being crowned the Reds' Player of the Year.
The one-cap USA international has just completed another season in America's National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) with Houston Dash.
A composed and tough-tackling centre-back, Brooks boasted a 75% tackle success rate last season, while she also notched three assists for Ivan Karlović's side.
“From Amber’s first training session with us last season, it was clear that her experience and quality was going to benefit us majorly,” Karlović told the Reds' official website.
“We are delighted that she will be returning to our squad for the new season and I’m certain she will again be a key component to our successes.
