Match Preview: Brisbane Roar v Adelaide United

Japanese legend Yuki Nagasato will make her much-anticipated Brisbane Roar debut in Sunday's Westfield W-League clash against Adelaide United.

Nagasato's pedigree cannot be questioned but she has a hard act to follow, given the outstanding form of two of the Roar's imports so far.

Carson Pickett and Chioma Ubogagu are team-mates in both the United States and Australia, and the Orlando Pride pair are combining to great effect for the Roar in the 2018/19 Season.

Ubogagu, who scored for England last week, produced an outstanding Round 1 display in which she set up the equaliser in 1-1 draw with Perth Glory for Pickett.

And Pickett backed that up with the only goal against Western Sydney Wanderers last time out, a result that lifted the Roar to equal first on the table.

Adelaide, the Roar's opponents at Lions Stadium, have played just once this season, beginning with a gritty 0-0 draw at Melbourne Victory.

The Reds have lost their last four meetings against the Roar, with last season’s Premiers scoring 11 goals in that run.
