The number of internationals that will be on the park numbers well into the teens, while history proves that entertainment, and perhaps a few fireworks, will be in store.

A new-look Sydney side started brightly with a 2-0 win last Sunday over the always combative Adelaide United. The result was achieved despite the Sky Blues perhaps fielding a line-up unusually devoid of headline-names, but this weekend marks another test in the development of a still fledgling starting side.

However, new American duo Samantha Johnson and Jasmyne Spencer both proved their value on debut, with the latter nabbing both goals to help fill a large void left by some of the off-season departures.

The Roar, for their part, will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2-1 loss at Perth Glory. So too, perhaps a dose of revenge will be in the back of the mind after an unexpected 4-0 rout by the Sky Blues when the pair last met in January.

Brisbane are again set to be without key defender Brooke Spence and iconic German goalkeeper Nadine Angerer, though the under-rated Kate Stewart is an able deputy between the sticks.

History suggests a tight contest is likely with the 15 previous encounters matching up evenly with five wins apiece.

Whatever the outcome this time, it is the fans who are likely to be the winners.
