Abbey spent the off-season in the local Women’s National Premier League SA (WNPL) with Adelaide City.

She was named the player of the match in the Black and Whites’ Grand Final win at Coopers Stadium last month, while Abbey was also named in the WNPL Team of the Year.

Reds boss Ivan Karlović was delighted to have Abbey in the squad for the upcoming season.

“Grace experienced an interrupted season last year but when fit we know how beneficial her defensive attributes can be to our team,” Karlović said.

“She has been involved in the W-League for a number of seasons now and she continues to mature both on and off the park.

“Grace enjoyed a strong season with Adelaide City during the winter months and we’re confident that form will continue heading into our new W-League campaign.”
