Perth Glory have confirmed that Rachel Hill has re-signed for the upcoming Westfield W-League 2018/19 season.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a stunning debut campaign last year, finishing third in the goal-scoring charts with nine and also contributing a league-best six assists.
The University of Connecticut graduate returned to her native USA to play for Orlando Pride following the end of the W-League season and added a further four goals to her career tally as the Florida side finished seventh in the top-flight National Women's Soccer League.
Having also helped the USA Under-23 team to win this month’s Nordic Cup, Hill is now relishing the prospect of heading back to Perth and linking up with the rest of Bobby Despotovski’s squad.
"I had a lot of fun last season and I'm really looking to forward to an even better year this time around," she said.
"I think making the finals is definitely within reach for us this year. If we put our minds to it, we can definitely get there.
"But the [Westfield] W-League is a strong, competitive league and you really have to be ready to go in every game."
Despotovski, meanwhile, believes that Hill is capable of taking her game to another level in the coming months.
"Rachel made a massive impact last season and we're delighted to have her back again this year," he said.
"She complements our other attacking players really well, has great pace and provides assists as well as goals.
"She's came to us last year having not played that many NWSL games, but after impressing in the W-League, she featured a lot more regularly for Orlando Pride and has furthered her international career as well.
"I'm sure that progress will continue this year and I know our members and fans will be excited about seeing her in action again."
