Siemsen double helps Sky Blues sink Wanderers in Sydney Derby

Remy Siemsen's two goals in three first half minutes helped Sydney FC to a 3-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers in the Sydney Derby on Saturday.

At ANZ Stadium, Siemsen was on hand to tap in an opener after 21 minutes and followed it up with a superb curling strike to make it 2-0 three minutes later.

Playing before the Hyundai A-League Sydney Derby, Ellie Brush got the Wanderers back in the contest with a penalty on 40 minutes before Lisa De Vanna made it 3-1 to the Sky Blues after pouncing on a mistake by the Wanderers keeper on 62 minutes.

Siemsen went close to her hat-trick with five minutes of regulation time left but Whyman made a good stop to keep the score at 3-1.
