Midfielder Alyssa Mautz is targetting a return to the Westfield W-League Grand Final after signing with Perth Glory for the 2018/19 Season.
The dynamic midfielder played for Adelaide United last season but made 14 appearances for Glory in his first stint at the club during the 2016-17 campaign.
"I'm so excited to be back at Perth playing for Perth Glory," Mautz said.
"It'll be fun to be back with such great girls.
"I hope we can make it back to the Grand Final this year which I’m pretty confident we can do given how much I’ve heard about the girls' improvement over the last year.
"I can’t wait to get the season started!"
Mautz is originally from Missouri, earning her start at Texas A&M University before she was signed by NWSL outfit Sky Blue FC in 2011.
A move to Chicago Red Stars followed and the USA U-20 international has since gone on to become a club legend, chalking up more than 100 NWSL appearances, 24 of which came last season alongside Glory teammate Sam Kerr.
Her stellar performances in 2018 saw her named joint-winner of the Red Stars’ Iron Woman of Character award, with Glory boss Bobby Despotovski confident that she will continue that rich vein of form in the W-League.
"Alyssa knows exactly what the league is all about and also knows many of her teammates from her previous spell with us," he said.
"She's a workaholic midfielder with great energy who is good in the air and we know she'll do a great job for us."
Glory begin the new Westfield W-League season on Sunday, October 28, with a trip to Suncorp Stadium to play defending Premiers Brisbane Roar.
