Check out some of the best signings ahead of the highly-anticipated 10th season of the league.
LISA DE VANNA (SYDNEY FC)
The Westfield Matildas’ all-time leading goalscorer joins the Sky Blues fresh from scoring a stunning 20-yard goal against Brazil in Penrith.
The iconic striker has won three Westfield W-League Championships, one Premiership, an AFC Asian Cup, the Julie Dolan Medal, plus a FIFA Women’s World Cup All Star Team inclusion and FFA Female Footballer of the Year award.
De Vanna's presence and experience will be a massive boost for Sydney FC in the season ahead.
KYAH SIMON (MELBOURNE CITY)
Simon is widely regarded as one of Australia's most gifted players, having been part of the Westfield Matildas since making her debut as a teenager a decade ago.
She's won two Westfield W-League championships with Sydney FC and also played for the Boston Breakers in America's National Women's Soccer League.
The 26-year-old scored the winning penalty in Australia's 2010 AFC Asian Cup triumph and became the first Indigenous Australian to score at the FIFA World Cup when she scored a brace in a 2-1 win over Norway at the 2011 tournament.
Simon also scored three goals at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, including the only goal in an historic 1-0 win over Brazil in the knockout stages.
Simon will also be key to the Matildas' charge over the coming years as they seek glory at the Asian Cup, World Cup and Olympics.
ELLIE CARPENTER (CANBERRA UNITED)
After two seasons and 23 appearances for WSW, the Westfield Matildas defender has moved to the capital.
Carpenter is the rising star of the national team and the teenager is one of the most exciting talents to watch as she bursts forward from her full back position.
Exciting times for United fans with this future world star in their midst.
LAURA BASSETT (CANBERRA UNITED)
The English defender joins Canberra United after a stellar European Championship campaign with her national side.
The 34-year-old has over 60 caps for England and has spent time at Arsenal and Chelsea.
Able to play at centre-back or in a holding midfield role, Bassett will be a key part of Heather Garriock's side in 2017/18.
LEE FALKON (WESTERN SYDNEY WANDERERS)
The 25-year-old Israeli striker has joined the Wanderers after two successful seasons with German club MSV Duisburg.
She began her career with ASA Tel Aviv University, before moving to Germany with SC Sand and later to Danish giants Brønby IF, who she helped reach the last eight of the UEFA Women's Champions League.
The talented attacker has played 37 times for Israel, scoring six goals.
Falkon has twice won the Israeli Women's Cup, the Israeli Ligat Nashim three times, German Bundesliga Division 2 and Danish Elitdivisionen and Women's Cup.
RAQUEL RODRIGUEZ CEDENO (GLORY)
Perth Glory have added the Costa Rican midfielder for the upcoming Westfield W-League season.
And she knows Sam Kerr well after a season at Sky Blue FC in America’s NWSL alongside the Matildas superstar.
In her first season at Sky Blue FC, Cedeno’s impressive, all-action displays led to her taking out the 2016 NWSL Rookie of the Year award.
She then added to her long list achievements in June this year by scoring the fastest goal in NWSL history after just 24 seconds.
ELLIE BRUSH (WANDERERS)
"Brushy" is a Canberra United great and a stalwart of the club. The versatile sportswoman heads up to Sydney with the Wanderers hoping she can inspire them to success after her W-League championship/Premiership success with Canberra United.
The fourth highest capped W-League player, Brush joins the Wanderers after nine seasons with Canberra.
