American defender Emily Menges is the final piece of the puzzle as defending Premiers Melbourne Victory aim to go back-to-back.
Menges was the third arrival from the United States announced on Wednesday, 6 November as Jeff Hopkins’ 2019/20 roster is finalised.
The 27-year-old joins on loan from National Women’s Soccer League outfit Portland Thorns, where she played alongside Westfield Matildas and fellow Westfield W-League stars Ellie Carpenter, Hayley Raso and Caitlin Foord.
Menges lifted the 2016 NWSL Shield and 2017 NWSL Championship among her 124 appearances in the United States top flight.
Menges, born in Garden City, New York, is set for her first appearance outside her home nation and her Westfield W-League debut.
She is Victory’s fifth overseas players alongside compatriots Darian Jenkins and Haley Hanson, as well as New Zealander Annalie Longo and English club captain Natasha Dowie.
