Melbourne Victory's Westfield W-League premiership defence has received a major boost with the signing of USA international Haley Hanson.
Hanson, 23, will play outside of her homeland for the first time after inking a one-year deal with Jeff Hopkins' side for the 2019/20 Season.
She is one of two international recruits Victory are expected to announce on Wednesday.
“I’m so excited to join Melbourne Victory for this upcoming season,” said Hanson.
“I’m thrilled that I get to experience my first taste of the W-League in a team that is filled with talented players and committed staff members.

Hanson has played more than 40 times in America's National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), where she is part of the Houston Dash.
As well as making one appearance for the World Champion US Women's National Team, the midfielder has also captained the US Under-23 side.
Hanson also played College football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers before Houston drafted her with the 7th overall pick in the 2018 NWSL College Draft.
